"Too Soon Old, Too Late Smart"

" Too Soon Old, Too Late Smart... Thirty True Things You Need to Now" is a great book by Dr. Gordon Livingston ( and short too; who doesn't love a short book, you feel like you accomplished so much when you finished it, especially in a self help book. )

Woody Allen said that 80 percent of life is showing up. Ain't that the truth. One point the doctor brings up is that with the entertainment industry skyrocketing out of control since the World War II, we are letting cable TV, movies, video games, and the Internet wash over us for hours as we do a lot of nothing. When we do something, it is a lot of talking about nothing . Like Woody said, we are not showing up.

The song below has the lyrics, " I would rather be dreaming than living, because living is too hard to do." I first I thought it was someone that didn't want to live but then when I thought about it is so much easier not to participate in life, to dream and talk about a better life than go out and actually do it. Yesterday is gone, tomorrow isn't here, so all we are left with is today.

Sounds Yogish to me, or something that Florian Yoga would blog about rather than Marines, Florian Villa, the Fire Department, or Disabled Scuba.
